What is the range of the Remote? Can it operate your devices from outside my house?

The Remote communicates directly with the Hub and not with the Light Switches, so it is the range of the Light Switch and its distance from the Hub that is primarily relevant here. The Light Switches can be as far as 10 meters from the Hub for the signal to reach them. The Remote can also operate normally from a distance of 10 metres too, but any further and there would be a drop in the connection. Simply put, it should be able to operate from outside the house as long as its distance from the Hub is about 10 metres or less with minimal obstruction.
