It takes a huge amount of resource to get these things talking, but we’ve designed our products to work with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
We're currently working on integration with Apple HomeKit and we hope to release support a few months after our official launch. Unfortunately, we're not in a position to promise dates just yet. HomeKit support will be added via free updates and no additional purchases will need to be made.
Once you have your Den products set up in your home, you can link your accounts and add the products to your Alexa or Google account. You'll then be able to control your lights and appliances using your chosen voice assistant and its companion App.
When we launch Dimmers we'll support commands to interact with them too; you'll be able to ask for a specific percentage.
It will not be necessary to say "Hey Google, ask Den to...". You can simply say "Hey Google, turn on the lights".
As long as every device has a different name, whether it is a Den product or not, there will be no confusion and no need to reference Den in the voice command. In the Google Home and Alexa Apps you' are also able to edit the names of the devices, if you need to.
Whilst our focus at launch is on supporting Alexa and Google Assistant, followed by HomeKit, we're evaluating the market direction and listening to feedback from our customers. We may add more supported ecosystems and facilities, such as APIs, in the future.
